Congratulations to the 2023 recipients of the BMO200 William A. Downe Scholarship Program
As many students head back to school in September, we’re proud to award 10 scholarships for a first post-secondary degree or diploma program through the BMO200 William A. Downe Scholarship Program, created for the children and wards of BMO Financial Group employees from across the organization. By supporting the educational goals of a new generation of young leaders, BMO’s growing the good in our communities.
The BMO200 William A. Downe Scholarship Program was introduced in 2017, to celebrate BMO’s bicentennial anniversary and mark Bill Downe’s tenure as Chief Executive Officer. The first scholarship recipients were announced in 2018.
The 2023 recipients were selected by the Loran Scholars Foundation, based on the criteria of demonstrated academic achievement, community involvement and leadership potential. Each of the recipients will receive CDN$10,000 for their first year of a higher education program.
