BMO deepens commitment to students with new year-long partnership with Western University
Today, BMO announced a new year-long partnership with the Western University Students’ Council (USC), the student-led organization that represents the student body at Western University in London, Ontario. This exciting collaboration reinforces BMO’s commitment to empowering students with the tools, services and resources they need to build strong financial foundations during their studies and beyond.
As part of the 2025-2026 academic year, BMO will serve as the exclusive banking partner for Western University’s Orientation Week in the Fall and Winter semesters. From activation booths to open-house events on campus, BMO will be there to support students with everyday banking solutions and valuable financial literacy resources. To boost engagement and drive awareness to BMO’s student banking services, this partnership also includes a range of on-campus marketing and branding initiatives including co-branded swag bag giveaways, digital screen ads, banners, poster boards, and social media posts.
This new partnership is the latest evolution of BMO’s longstanding relationship with Western University. BMO’s CEO and a graduate of Western’s Ivey Business School, Darryl White, has strong ties with the institution, participating in the annual Richard G. Ivey Speaker Series in 2019 and addressing graduates during Ivey’s 2023 spring convocation ceremony, sharing advice and lessons from his career. In recent years, BMO has supported multiple campus initiatives, including a $3.5 million donation to create the Leadership Certificate at Ivey Business School, a new cross-campus program available to all undergraduate students at Western. Through this partnership, BMO will also be supporting the USC’s Food Support program, the on-campus food bank – an initiative to eradicate food poverty amongst students.
This partnership reflects BMO’s dedication to supporting customers at every stage of life. Whether they’re just starting out or preparing for their next big financial move, BMO is there to help them make real financial progress.
