BMO wins big at Canadian Marketing Awards
BMO had an exceptional showing at the 2020 Canadian Marketing Awards, sweeping the Financial categories and beyond with a total of nine wins including five Golds, the highest distinction within a category.
The Canadian Marketing Association recognises brands featuring the best in creativity and teams who have maximized their marketing investment.
Our Brand Advertising team took home Gold in Financial Brand Building for how we’ve built a unique voice for our brand through the introduction of charming and personable spokesperson played by Lamorne Morris. See more from our spokesperson here.
With our “Jane’s Story” campaign marking International Women’s Day, which took Gold in Business Brand Building and Financial Engagement, we used our voice to target financial stereotypes for girls, for women, and for their financial futures. The centrepiece of this campaign is the story of Jane. As she grows up, Jane’s confidence about money is shaped by stereotypical messaging that continues to exist in society, media and even how families talk to women and girls about money and women’s financial capabilities.
BMO was also recognized in the Financial category for Customer Experience, Innovative Media, Business Impact and Engagement for the Montreal Impact #Fanfini Jersey Swap campaign, while the Cross Border Banking campaign was recognized in the Financial Brand Building category and won the LinkedIn B2B Award.
