BMO Donates $100,000 to Support Coaldale, AB with New Recreation Centre
Community centres are often the hub of towns large and small—a place to play, gain skills and connect. And during the pandemic, they’ve been vital mobilization sites for vaccine efforts, too.
A new donation from BMO is designed to ensure the agricultural town of Coaldale, Alberta, near Lethbridge, maintains its strong community connection. Coaldale is building a new Recreation Centre which will stand as a centrepiece for recreation, sports and special events in Southern Alberta, and be that hub of activity for the community. Community focused programming will draw participation of all ages, from toddlers through seniors to activities that will directly contribute to Coaldale’s economic prosperity and improved quality of life of its citizens.
Our donation ensures Coaldale’s new multi-use recreation centre is fully stocked with equipment it needs to facilitate full programming when it opens in 2024.
”BMO is proud to start off the New Year with this donation in support of Coaldale’s new recreation centre. BMO’s Purpose is to Boldly Grow the Good and this includes helping to build stronger communities for a thriving economy.”
– Shikha Tewathia, Regional Vice President, Personal Banking (Alberta South Market)
“We’re tremendously grateful to BMO for their gift to the capital campaign. Their remarkable generosity will have a lasting impact on our community.”
– Coaldale Mayor Jack Van Rijn
